A Voluntary Provident Fund (VPF) is a savings scheme offered to salaried employees in which they can voluntarily contribute a higher percentage of their basic salary towards their provident fund account.
The VPF declaration takes place from March - February every year. Once the employee opt in for VPF, he/she cannot opt out until the month of March.
