Can admin change tax regime after processing salary?

No, the admin cannot change the tax regime after processing the salary.

As per the notification from the Income Tax department, a regime can be selected only once in the financial year.

However, before processing the salary the admin must follow the below procedure to change the regime for an employee.

1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Payroll > Payroll inputs > Income Tax. The Income Tax page opens.
2. Click the Regime tab. The page expands.
3. From the Regime dropdown list, search for an employee for whom you want to change the details.
4. Select the required income tax regime.
5. Click Save to change the regime details of employees.
